Description: Introduced in 1997, the Newton eMate 300 was a “classroom only” laptop. It was only sold to educational institutions.

The casing was green-blue transparent and sturdy. It is said to be splash proof and shock resistant.

The eMate is known best for its unusual design; it influenced greatly the design of the iBook laptops later on.

Needless to say: attractive, curious and very much desired by collectors.

This item is part the Philippe Poppe Apple computer collection.
